Frequently Asked Questions: What actually is permanent makeup?

What actually is permanent makeup❓

Permanent makeup is a permanent method that involves placing the pigment under the epidermis with a needle. After the procedure, a protective scab appears, which results from the body's defensive reaction to delicate damage to local tissue. When the scab peels off spontaneously, the healing process ends, but then the epidermis regenerates, which lasts from 28 to 50 days (it is influenced by the type of skin and the age of the client). During this period, permanent makeup is fixed, therefore only after 4-8 weeks can a correction be made, i.e. a corrective and strengthening treatment. The pigment stays in the skin for an average of one to three years, after which the makeup should be refreshed. The skin is part of a living organism and you never know how it will behave during a given procedure and what its final effect will be.

The specialised techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as: micropigmentation, semi-permanent makeup, micropigment implantation, dermagraphics, cosmetic tattoo and reconstructive pigmentation.

It is a non-surgical, long lasting, smudge free, cosmetic makeup system, that is carried out by a highly skilled professional.

It is not a tattoo. A traditional tattoo goes much deeper and uses different pigments - tattoo ink is unsuitable for the sensitive skin of the facial features.
